Christmas Party

Christmas fever was in full swing on the 30th of November when IIR SA and other participating organisations joined in the festivities of a Christmas party in Lawley. Over 300 children from 7 surrounding crèches came together for a day filled with sweets, entertainment, jumping castles, face painting and presents. To kick off the celebrations, each child was given a goodie bag of assorted sweets, juices and toys to keep them full of energy all day long.

The day's proceedings then started with an introduction of the various contributing organisations, thanking them for their generous donations and continued support. The children then sat with lucky packets in hand and watched in awe of the clown's magical tricks and juggling talents, giggling through mouthfuls of chips and party whistles.

The party then moved outside, where the braver ones queued for the jumping castles while many waited patiently for their faces to be painted. Our team managed to paint most of the little faces while others enjoyed having their photos taken with one of the many singing Santas. After some time outside in the sun, everyone was hurried back inside to where the biggest surprise was waiting. Every little boy and girl was led to Father Christmas to receive a special gift, wrapped in Christmas paper for them to take home.

It was a day that not many will forget and IIR SA will continue to support this worthy cause and share in their joy and excitement. You can see by their faces that fun was had by all and IIR SA hopes to continue to spread the smiles in the future!
